Continue to practice multiplication facts at home. The more fluent you are with your math facts, the easier new skills will become.

Science
We will be beginning to learn about measurement in science. We will be using some of the following tools: -Graduated Cylinders -Balance Scales -Rulers: Centimeters and Inches -Gram Stackers
Social Studies
We are starting to learn about Colonial America and the Dutch settlers in Social Studies.
Students will learn about their travels, trade, jobs and what it was like growing up in colonial times!
ELA
In ELA we will be focusing on reviewing past skills. Students will dig deeper into responding to reading. Learning the skill of stating a claim and citing details to answer comprehension questions will become more and more important as student progress within their reading skills. Continue to push restating the question and using the text details to support answers.
Spelling words are written in planners as well as a copy in their ELA folders at school. New words are assigned every other week. Please check your child's Boomerang folder and planner daily.
